Smart, sparkling, succinct prose and insightful content strategy. I can deliver it to you, assign and edit it for you or teach you how to produce polished, publishable, fabulous writing for print or digital. I also ghost write articles for CEOS, and produce white papers for clients including the Copyright Clearance Center and Thompson Reuters. I was the articles director at Self magazine for 11 years and have been on staff and worked as a consultant/writer and writer-wrangler at numerous magazines, websites and startups including Potentia Labs, Shebooks, Good Housekeeping, Dailyworth, DeliberateLife.com, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar and Lifetimetv.com.

Book editing; e-book editing; magazine writing and writing for the web. In 2009, I edited the Publisher's Weekly-starred anthology, Behind the Bedroom Door: Getting It, Giving It, Loving It, Missing It (Delacorte, 2009), featuring best selling writers Cheryl Strayed, Susanna Sonnenberg, Susan Cheever, Lauren Slater, Lori Gottlieb and Julie Powell, among others. I've edited numerous memoirs including the NYT-recommended Gorge. My own writing has been published in Refinery29, Purple Clover, Self, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, Woman's Day, More, Cosmo, Dailyworth.com and the New York Times Modern Love
column (twice!)

Writing workshops and private editing. I teach my own workshops on the personal essay, as well as at CUNY Grad School of Journalism and the Riverlight Wellness Center. I'm available for writing and editing projects, including screenplays, fiction, nonfiction manuscripts and book proposals, and personal essays. I also do  college application essay coaching.

I get writers, editors (and plenty of non-literary types, too) to deliver the best they are capable of digitally or in print, with no muss, fuss, delays or drama. Because life is nicer that way.
